I’ve been listening to Doja Cat since 2018 when I stumbled upon the song “Tia Tamera”. You could say I really jumped on the bandwagon when Hot Pink came out in late 2019. 1. Say So (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “We can dance all day around it. If you’re frontin’, I’ll be bouncin’.

Overview: Just a catchy song overall. I think Doja Cat got screwed at the Grammy’s by not winning Record of the Year. Was a hit on Tik-Tok and radio. Most of all was a hit with all demographics.

2. Beautiful (2014)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “As usual, I’m suitable. Cute from the cooch to my cuticles.”

Overview: Most people are going to see this as a reach but it’s a really good song, especially considering she was 18 when making the Purr EP. This is basically tied with Say So for #1 in my opinion. Say So got the edge because of mainstream popularity.

3. Kiss Me More (ft. SZA) (2021)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “…wishin’ that the p**** was a kissin’ booth. Taste breakfast, lunch, and gin and juice.”

Overview: Probably an even bigger radio hit than Say So, just when we thought that wasn’t possible. As always, a catchy chorus mixed with Doja Cat creates a #1 hit.

4. Freak (2020)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Freak like me. You want a good girl that does bad things to you.”

Overview: Champ had this on repeat for days after it came out. The pure essence of what every man looks for in a woman.

5. Won’t Bite (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Closer to me, baby, I won’t bite. You look so tasty, but I won’t really. I’m such a good kitty, don’t put up fights. But if you trick me, baby, it gon’ get sticky. I might…”

Overview: A song about the desire to get physically closer. Was referenced in Champ Hercules’ “Let’s Have a Night” with the line “Let’s get closer. Swear, I won’t bite.”

6. Need To Know (2021)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Probably thinkin’ I’m a telekinetic. Oh, wait, you a fan of the Magic? Poof, p**** like an Alakazam.”

Overview: The chorus hits. Doesn’t get as much radio play as it should.

7. Cyber Sex (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Can’t give head, you give me that FaceTime. You a creep, I saw you on Dateline. You ain’t gettin’ p****, you f***ing an AI. What a time to be alive. Living in the future, blingin’ on my hotline.”

Overview: The 3rd, some would say the 2nd best song off of “Hot Pink”. Another fire song from Doja Cat about being a freak. I love it.

8. Better Than Me (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Better than me. Better than me. The best p****, come from wifey.”

Overview: Probably the most underrated song on “Hot Pink”. Champ loves this one because it’s an anthem for people that are underappreciated by their lovers. She’s basically saying find someone better.

9. Body Language (2018)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “I see it all in your eyes and your face. Want these knees to go opposite ways.”

Overview: This, in my opinion, is Doja Cat’s single most underrated song. The theme of the song is sexual tension.

10. Addiction (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “I’ve got such a pretty body. Feels prettier when I’m a mess. And I’d just like to call him daddy. ‘Cuz the first one up and left.”

Overview: A song centered around addiction. Both drug addiction and the addiction of companionship is referenced.

11. Mooo! (2018)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “My milkshake brings all the boys to the farm, and they’re like, ‘it’s better than yours’.”

Overview: Doja Cat shows her humorous side in this one, creating a song through the eyes of a cow. A song loaded with pop cultural references.

12. Juicy (2018)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “And all them n****s wanna know, how long it take to pull my pants up. Broke a fingernail and then some, tryna squeeze into my true religion denims.”

Overview: Just a song about having a sweet ass and knowing how to flaunt it.

13. Like That (ft. Gucci Mane) (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Do that, do that, baby all night long. And I’ma turn off all my phones. You know I hate it when I’m left on read. But he make it all up in the bed.”

Overview: Don’t really know what this song is about. Catchy chorus, but ultimately not good enough to crack the Top 10.

14. Tia Tamera (ft. Rico Nasty) (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Cheese like pizzeria. Have a seat bitch, please, Ikea. From the Westside like Maria. I’m hot like grits, Madea. Beat the p**** up call PETA. I rock the boat like Aailyah. I rock a bob like Sia…”

Overview: Pretty sure this song is about having big breasts. The chorus is “my twins big like Tia”. Been on my workout playlist since it came out.

15. Shine (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Diamonds on shine. Should be legally blind.”

Overview: This song is just about being your best self and shining.

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Boy what you lookin’ for? You know where them cookies are. Yeah I caught your ass red-handed in that cookie jar.”

Overview: This is a clever song about a man that Doja Cat caught cheating.

17. Go To Town (2018)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “If he don’t eat it he a d-bag.” and “D to the TF, got your BF in my DM.”

Overview: This is a song about Doja Cat telling a man to perform oral cunnilingus on her. “Go to town” she says.

18. Rules (2019)

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Play with my p****, but don’t play with my emotions.

Overview: In this song, Doja Cat lays out her biggest ground rule: “Don’t play with my emotions.”

Champ’s Favorite Line: “We play our fantasies out in real life ways. No Final Fantasy can we end these games?”

Champ’s Favorite Line: “Sugar coated, lies unfolded. You still lick the wrapper. It’s addictive, you know this. But you still lick the wrapper.”

Overview: In this one, Doja Cat compares herself to candy, because she’s sweet and addictive. This song popped off over a year after Hot Pink’s release due to TikTok.
